We encourage ALL cadets whether you will representing the squadron at the Zone competition this year or not , to keep your training on Sunday to learn and improve your Biathlon skills for the next Parade Year. We are also looking for helpers at the different competition levels; If you wish to know more about the competition environment and be part of an exciting event, speak to Lt Nguyen.
Biathlon is a combination of cross-country skiing (skate) or running and marksmanship.

Cadets interested in participating do not need existing experience in marksmanship nor cross country skiing to participate in the Try-Outs. Coaches and Officers are present to develop participants toward their own excellence goals: Fitness, Marksmanship skills, Confidence and Sportsmanship. Training material (skis, boots, poles and rifles) will provided.

Cadet bi-athletes participate in a series of competitions at the local level that culminate in provincial competitions and an annual National Cadet Biathlon Championship.

Whether you are aiming for success or achievement in biathlon, physical fitness or just participating in an exciting sport - there are golden opportunities available through the cadet biathlon. This ever-popular program has produced many world class athletes, including Myriam Bédard and Jean-Philippe LeGuellec.
